What to do with old VHS tapes?

Well I finally tackled cleaning a cabinet on my 2 do list ... the VHS tape cabinet. Now what the heck am I going to do with all these obsolete tapes? I have lots of blank tapes waiting to be recorded and Disney Classic tapes that only sell for $1 on ebay.

I have movies we've watched and I hate reruns so I won't watch them again. I have recordings of Saints games, Olympic games, Pope John Paul's visit to New Orleans and his funeral, exercise shows, Hurricane Katrina specials,Johnny Carson's last show, history specials, TV shows, concerts and so much MORE!

But my treasures are home video tapes of Amelia and Jude that are priceless. I want to have them converted to DVD (or whatever the next best thing is).

AFTER TALKING TO YOU ABOUT THIS, WE DID THE SAME THING - I HAVE A VCR THAT IS BRAND NEW. CAN WE DONATE THESE SOMEWHERE - MAYBE TO THE SALVATION ARMY OR BRIDGE HOUSE? SOMEBODY HELP! THANKS.

LEARNED TODAY THAT THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE IN NEW ORLEANS WILL ACCEPT VCR MACHINES AND TAPES. SO WE HAVE A SOLUTION TO WHERE TO BRING THEM. THEY WILL BE PUT TO GOOD USE. GO GREEN!
