As I was putting my Christmas cards and stamps away I realized I forgot to post these doll tags:

Handmade Christmas Cards 2013

If you make handmade cards then you receive handmade cards.   Here are just a few of the ones I received for Christmas 2013.

Fa La La La La La La La La

My sister, Andree, asked me to make her Christmas cards again this year.  She wanted it to just say Fa La La La La La La La La.   No shortcut like Fa La La.  All the Las.  So after putting together a few samples she decided on this one made with the Sizzix dies designed by Karen Burniston.

Since she needed 62 of them I set up an assembly line and worked on them on and off through the summer.  Did I mention how organized she is?   That's an understatement.

Did I mention how unorganized I am?  We worked out a barter this year where I made the cards for free and she signed them from both of us, addressed the envelopes to the relatives we both send to and bought the stamps.  Win Win for both of us.  Fa La La La La La La La La.  I can't tell you how many times I had to double check that I had all the Las on the cards.

First Time Ever I Made a Gingerbread House

My friend, Terrice, had a couple of us ladies over to her house to make gingerbread houses.   She has been making them for years and likes to help teach others how to do it.  She made the gingerbread from scratch and had most of the candies too.
I saw on Pinterest where a gingerbread roof was made out of mini shredded wheat and trees were made out of ice cream cones so that is what I bought.  Terrice did all the frosting mixing and kept us moving along.  After 2 days of decorating and 2 days of drying my gingerbread house was ready to come home.   The weather was humid so it took extra drying time.

I was able to enjoy it for two days then I had an overnight stay at my Mama's while I was setting up for St. Rita's craft fair.  The craft fair was a big success with a few orders to fill afterwards too.  Here a few of the items I made.

Then to my dismay when I came home the humidity got the best of my gingerbread house.

Cowboy Cookies in a Jar

A big Christmas project my Mama and I helped Andree make were Cowboy Cookies in a jar.

Christmas Cards

I finally decided on my Christmas card design and set out to mass produce them.  I was able to get them in the mail soon enough for them to be delivered before Christmas.  Whew!

The best part of sending Christmas cards is receiving them.  Here they are displayed on my nativity table.

November Flew By

Has it been a month since I posted on here?   Is it December already?  Yes and yes.  Let's see if I can catch up with a recap of some of my goings on.

There are lots of people to pray for so made "Praying for You" cards:

I had periodontal laser surgery on two deep pockets so looked up recipes for "soft" foods:

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie 1/2 banana (peeled, frozen, diced) ~1/3 cup pumpkin puree (Libby’s) ~1/3 cup FF plain Greek yogurt ~3/4-1cup lt vanilla almond milk, Few shakes of pumpkin spice (Cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice) Few shakes of cinnamon (optional) Pinch of cloves 1tsp vanilla 4-5 ice cubes
