Mother's Day and Father's Day 2013

Here are two more cards made using Karen Burniston's Sizzix Accordion Flip 3-D album die along with her Frame & Label-Bracket die.   I also used Stampin' Up retired and current stamp sets.

Joy is not in things it is in us.  Happy Mother's Day.

Jane's 60th Birthday Card

Here is a picture of my cousin, Jane's, 60th birthday card I made using Karen Burniston's Sizzix Accordion Flip 3-D album die along with her Frame & Label-Bracket die.   I made it double high (7 inches tall) instead of its ordinary height (see how to do this here).

Accordion Flip 3-D cards

I am enjoying my new purchase from Scrapfest this year.  It is the Sizzix Bigz Die named Album, Accordion Flip 3-D.   The first example I made was a "make n take" from Scrappin Savvy of Spring, Texas.

I knew I just had to own this die.   It looks complicated but it's not (my kind of card).  Thought I'd show you a few of the cards I made lately.

I made a bunch like this as thank yous for my birthday flowers:
Soon I want to try a "double decker" like this one.

Wedding Day Card

When my friend, Ellen, came over to scrapbook with me one weekend she showed me the unique accordion card she made.  The base is made with 4 pieces of exactly the same measured pieces of card stock.  Can you see it?

Of course that inspired me to make one too so I made the newlyweds their wedding day card.

Valentines for ME!

I am a lucky lady to have such crafty and talented friends who swapped Valentines with me.   Here they are:

Here are the school children's Valentines they gave me:

Ellen made Mardi Gras accordion cards for all of us instead of Valentines. It sure looks pretty snazzy on my mantle.

Father's Day 2011

Twenty six years ago my DH celebrated his first Father's Day. When our two children were growing up I was a picture-taking fool and I'm so glad I was. (I'm still a picture taking fool.) I had some extra pictures that didn't make it in scrapbooks that I was able to put this mini book together to celebrate his Father's Day in 2011.

At the end of the booklet I made copies of signatures from old cards I saved and glued them in. I am so glad I saved old cards too.

Today my own father, who I love so much, and appreciates my card-making skills will get this accordion card.
