Paper Saving and Bottle Tags

I love, love, love glitter paper but at $2 a sheet or more I hate to throw any scraps away.   Sometimes I wonder if I have a problem about paper saving but recently I was thrilled I hadn't thrown out some red scraps.  They made perfect Christmas bird wings for wine bottle tags.

Now aren't those bottle tags a great gift idea?   I made Halloween tags for water bottles with a pocket to hold an orange flavor pouch.  The Happy New Year tag is for champagne of course.  Cheers to you!

Amelia's Birthday ... she would have been 26

This vintage post card of a child playing among doves makes me think, "Could Amelia be doing some thing like this today?" I'd like to think so.

October Birthdays

Happy Birthday to the 2 Susan's in my life...my friend since grammar school, Susie (Oct. 26) and my sister-in-law Susan (Oct. 28). As I remember them with similar birthday cards, I also remember my dearly departed mother-in-law, Blanche's, birthday too.

Robert is 10

Don't you remember when you made ten? You could put up both hands when someone asked your age. That is Robert today.

And finally I gave my sister, Jeanne, her birthday card ... I meant to give it to her before her birthday but forgot. Oh well, better late than never.

So Saffron

I just love the Stampin Up ink titled "So Saffron". It is a rich, creamy yellow. The ribbon and the brads were gifts so I made a few cards.

Another Bird Card

Just playing with my new "Touch of Nature" stamp set from Stampin Up. It is a new set to me but just recently retired by Stampin Up.

Happy Birthday Andree

Andree's birthday was on the 15th but she didn't open her birthday card from me until the 18th when she returned from a Houston mini-vacation. I am posting after I am sure she's seen her card in person before she sees it in cyberspace. I found the watercolor technique on Splitcoaststampers website.
