Amelia's Feast Day

How quickly life passes … Soon we shall all be reunited in heaven.
I love these words of the psalms very much:
“A thousand years in the eyes of the Lord are like yesterday that has already passed.”

- St. Therese of Lisieux
Happy Feast Day, Amelia.

Camellia Cafe

Take a look at the crafty and creative stools in this local restaurant by my house. The food is pretty good too.

If There Was a Contest

If there was a camellia flower contest today then I'm sure my DH would win. Unfortunately he doesn't know their names so he'll never enter them. The warm weather made the buds burst open all the flowers.

Fall in our yard is Pink

Traditionally colors of Fall are yellow and orange but in our yard it is PINK.
The majority of the pink blooms are from the Confederate Rose trees. The double blooms start out a pale pink and turn to a darker pink as the day goes on. The blooms only last one day but with so many buds we get blooms every day.

We have pink lilies blooming in our pond and, in the gardens, we have pink blooms on our azaleas and camellias. What the heck? It looks like spring around here.

Oh yes, we have red hibiscus too!

Valentine Card and Boxes

This box by Amelia's picture was made in Lynn's February Stampin' Up class.
This card I made in Lynn's January card class shares the spotlight on Valentine's Day with the fresh camellias picked from my yard.
I found the template for these cute heart boxes after watching The Martha Stewart show.
