May Card Club

Here is a picture of Lynn's Stampin' Up card club projects we did last night.

I've just completed being a Stampin Up panel member - look at all the free stuff they sent me! All this just for answering one survey a month for one year. If you want to try and be a panel member then go to the Stampin Up web site.

Strawberries for Happy Birthday to Me

On our way to Lafayette, LA. to celebrate my birthday with Jude, Artie stopped to buy a flat of juicy strawberries in Pontchatoula for $18. Needless to say I had strawberry shortcake with whipped cream for my birthday cake.
And now that I'm finally doing a blog post after a long time away from it I thought I'd share a card I cased from Lynn Rowan's February card class. Her design first, then mine.

Valentine Card and Boxes

This box by Amelia's picture was made in Lynn's February Stampin' Up class.
This card I made in Lynn's January card class shares the spotlight on Valentine's Day with the fresh camellias picked from my yard.
I found the template for these cute heart boxes after watching The Martha Stewart show.

SEPTEMBER CARD CLASS

At Lynn's monthly card club class we did stamping from Halloween to Christmas with Birthday in between. The jack-o-lantern is a pin using 3 layers of card stock glued together. It was stamped in black craft ink, embossed with clear powder and then Mod Podge was applied to seal it. Mod Podge has come a long way since it was invented 40 years ago. The ideas using this product are endless! The holiday season is around the corner so it is not too early to get started.

AUGUST CARD CLASS

The first Monday of every month I attend a card class sponsored by Lynn of Stampin' Up. This month we did a cute spiral pop-up butterfly card, an owl watercolor card and a purple cut-out thinking-of-you card.
The words say, "Something for you from owl of us." I added the owl with angel wings to represent Amelia.

Card Club July 2008

Here are the cards we made in Lynn's July Stampin' Up card class.
This "Warm Wishes" one is a gift bag made with coasters.
It is hard to tell on this one but the center of the flower is a big glue dot covered in green glitter.
This "Wish" card is a gate-folded card with the flower stamped on a glossy white paper. We used a resist technique on the petals by outlining with a white crayon, applying lilac ink with a dauber and then rubbing the ink off with a paper towel. The ink came off on top of the crayon.
