Wild and not so Wild Flowers

Spring in South Louisiana is here! The rose bushes are not in bloom yet and the azalea buds are just starting to open. My yard is full of wild flowers and not so wild ones too.

This week the weather was so mild that I did a lot of raking and clipping dead branches. I know I touched a lot of poison ivy and, even though I used garden gloves, I already have a couple of rash spots on my hands. I cleared away vines from the house, around the swing and the path to the pond.

Here are a few flower cards I've made recently.

AUGUST CARD CLASS

The first Monday of every month I attend a card class sponsored by Lynn of Stampin' Up. This month we did a cute spiral pop-up butterfly card, an owl watercolor card and a purple cut-out thinking-of-you card.
The words say, "Something for you from owl of us." I added the owl with angel wings to represent Amelia.

Remembering Amelia with a Spring Card

It has been 3 months since Amelia went to live in heaven. I think of her every day and keep her memory alive with fresh flowers next to her picture in the family room. The spring card technique was featured on splitcoaststampers this past week so I made a card to put next to her picture.
