2012 Highlight - Emily and Jude's Wedding

The highlight of 2012 for me was the marriage of my son, Jude, to his beautiful bride, Emily.   May they have a long life together.

Wooden Cupcake and Pie Stands

I've been browsing through the photographer's wedding pictures and wanted to post the wooden cupcake stand and the wooden disks used for the groom's pies.   These were made by the groom's father and were a wonderful touch for the bride's theme of outdoor vintage.

All Grown Up at 24

Today is my youngest child's 24th birthday and he is all grown up and starting his new life with his new wife.  
I am playing with making pop-up cards after seeing the new Sizzix line of die cuts and how much they cost.  Here is my 24 year old's card.

 I just rearranged their 5 x7 engagement pictures to the guest bedroom and put up their new 11 x 14 wedding portrait.   We will celebrate his birthday together this weekend.  Happy Birthday Son of Mine!

After this picture was taken I added some embellishments to 2 frames.

Wedding Day Card

When my friend, Ellen, came over to scrapbook with me one weekend she showed me the unique accordion card she made.  The base is made with 4 pieces of exactly the same measured pieces of card stock.  Can you see it?

Of course that inspired me to make one too so I made the newlyweds their wedding day card.   

Vintage Wedding

My DS's church wedding ceremony was traditional and sacred.

The reception was a big celebration.   It had a vintage theme in an elegant venue with music, dancing and laughter.

All the careful thought, planning and work made the evening magical.  I don't have a daughter-in-law... I have another daughter.   Have fun you two and live happily ever after.

Mason Jars, Pennants and More

This past weekend my future DIL had a bridal shower in her home town with her family and friends.   It was a vintage theme with lots of creative decorations.  Pennant signs were in every corner.  The most popular item was the mason jar filled with layered dry ingredients needed to make chocolate chip cookies (minus the wet ingredients).   Everyone received one for their shower favor.

Bridal Shower Invitation

The "Here Comes the Bride" bridal shower invitations were mailed this week for my future daughter-in-law's bridal shower on a Sunday afternoon in June.  For the invitation I used a little piece of tulle for the veil, added Stampin' Up glitter glue on the veil and the hem of the dress and I backed the stamped images with Stampin' Up glitter paper.   Now that is what I call girly-girl bling.

Unique Wedding Cake and Veil

Last weekend I attended Marie and Jeremy's wedding. Here is her unique wedding cake.

Marie also had a unique wedding veil that reminded me of the net veil my mother wore on her hats way back when women wore hats to church.
